The geoffmerrett.co.uk domain encapsulates a variety of websites including 'Geoff Merrett Electronics Research', 'Geoff Merrett Photography' and 'Consciousness'. Each of the websites requires different specialist functionality. The 'Geoff Merrett Electronics Research' website requires a large cross referenced publications database, designed for ease of reading. The 'Geoff Merrett Photography' website requires the organisation of a large number of photographs and related information, along with image editing functions for producing on demand photo borders. The 'Consciousness' website features a public message board, and also an easy to maintain photo album (called the photo board). To add photos to the photo board, images are simply dropped into a folder on the server. The website then undertakes all of the work in finding, organising, resizing and presenting the photos.

Prof. Bashir M. Al-Hashimi (http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~bmah)

http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~bmah

The purpose of this website is to create a web presence for research, projects and professional activities. It features an administration section to allow all of the data to be edited by the user, therefore greatly extending the longitivity of the website, and encouraging regular updates.

Southampton University IEEE SB (http://www.ieee.ecs.soton.ac.uk)

http://www.ieee.ecs.soton.ac.uk/

The Southampton University IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Student Branch aims to promote awareness of the IEEE and provide exciting and informative events including technical seminars, careers events and subsidised socials. The website is the public face of the IEEE SB, and its key design aims are readability and updatability - that is it should be easy to find information, and easy to keep information up-to-date. To this end, the website is built upon a mySQL database, and contains web-based tools for adding events, news articles, meeting minutes and files.

Scott F Page (http://www.sfpage.co.uk)

http://www.sfpage.co.uk/

This greatly extends the longitivity of the website, and encourages regular updates.
