Alex Presents DejaView Research at IET WSS19th June 2012
Today Alex presented his research at the IET conference on Wireless Sensing Systems (WSS). His paper was on the topic of "Adaptive Sampling in Context-Aware Systems: A Machine Learning Approach", and is a method he is researching to attempt to maximise the usefullness of images captured by the DejaView system, while minimising energy consumption.

Launch of My New Website1st January 2011
Today sees the launch of a major website redesign. Visually, it might not look like much of a change, but a lot has changed under the bonnet. Hopefully there's now a lot more information on here and, more importantly for me, it is much easier for me to actually keep it up-to-date... The three most noticeable additions that you may have spotted are:
'News and Impact': a page that contains information on major developments in my research, and specifically some of the ways that this research has... [more]
Presentations from Teng, Sei Ping, Luis and Davide9th July 2012
Today, Teng, Sei Ping, Luis and Davide all presented their research as part of the ESS group's student seminar series.
Teng presented his research on interoperability in wireless sensor networks, Sei Ping on intelligent adaptive street lighting, Luis on machine learning for adaptive power management, and Davide on energy-aware algorithms for wireless sensor networks.
All received a lot of useful questions and feedback on their research, and it was a useful exercise in finding out more abou... [more]
