Alex Presents DejaView Research at IET WSS19th June 2012
Today Alex presented his research at the IET conference on Wireless Sensing Systems (WSS). His paper was on the topic of "Adaptive Sampling in Context-Aware Systems: A Machine Learning Approach", and is a method he is researching to attempt to maximise the usefullness of images captured by the DejaView system, while minimising energy consumption.

Tactile Device Research on BBC Radio Solent's 'Drive Time'5th April 2011
Dr Sara Demain and I appeared live today on BBC Radio Solent's 'Drive Time' show, and talked about our research on tactile devices for stroke rehabilitation.

Keynote Speaker at Sensors & their Applications XVII19th July 2012
I have been invited to speak at the Institute of Physics' biennial conference on Sensors and their Applications. The seventeenth in the series of conferences on Sensors & their Applications (S&A XVII) will be hosted outside of the UK and Ireland for the first time in Dubrovnik, Croatia in September 2013.
